Cerulli Associates has a deep commitment to environmental and social impact, both in our offices and through our research. Our commitment to the environment is a core cultural tenet. We realize our actions both in and out of the office can contribute to creating positive environmental outcomes.
"You should be a responsible consumer of energy and do what you can to help improve the situation for the planet. That includes energy savings, recycling, composting, and it includes informing your employees of ways they can be more responsible themselves both here and outside the office."
We proudly offer a CSR program for employee participation. Click the images below to learn more about our internal CSR practices:
We changed the office overhead lighting to LED fixtures, which reduced our energy consumption by 55%, and almost entirely eliminated the need to replace lightbulbs. We also filmed a video with the City of Boston's Greenovate department about how we are working on energy efficiency.
Reduce: We take strides to reduce waste through composting.
Reuse: We say ‘no’ to single-use items. We provide employees with mugs, travel cups, and water bottles for consistent reuse.
Recycle: We strive to make it easy for employees to recycle. With recycle bins prevalent throughout the office, we make it easy for employees to make good decisions when it comes to discarding unwanted materials.
In 2020, we decided to take a look at our printing procedures and how they align with our environmental interests and those of our clients. In an effort to further reduce our impact on the environment, we have ceased the printing of all hard copies of our Reports and Cerulli Edge publications.
We provide office space and facilities support to environmental organizations, including Mothers Out Front, Clean Water Action, the Renewable Energy Task Force, and the Gas Leak Allies. Community outreach is important to us, which is why we hold regular events updating our neighbors on the benefits of implementing sustainable practices and sponsor events like the Net Impact Conference and the GLOW Conference. Our efforts led to recognition by Boston Organics and the Neighborhood Association of Back Bay.
Giving back is important to our corporate culture. Our Cerulli Cares Committee hosts regular events to help our neighbors. A few initiatives we support are listed below:
As frequent flyers we know how much business travel can contribute to our overall carbon footprint. To offset our emissions intake we have decided to pair up with Terrapass, whose mission is to provide the resources necessary for companies and individuals to understand and take responsibility for their climate impact. With our Business Carbon Offsets purchased we are supporting communities around the United States in their Sustainable Living Projects.
We are always open to new ideas to give back to the community and welcome any ideas for environmental preservation.
